Running MuChat for clients (agencies)

The Agency hub: client workspaces, your team's access, sharing automations and client reports.

If you build automations for other businesses, turn your own workspace into an agency under Settings → Agency. It keeps working as before and gains the Agency hub in the sidebar.

Clients

Each client is its own workspace, with its own accounts, contacts, plan and data. From the hub, Add client creates one — blank, or starting from a copy of your agency's or another client's automations — or brings in a workspace you already own. You can invite the client's own contact at the same time, as a viewer, editor, admin or owner.

The hub lists every client with its connected accounts, live automations, contacts and messages for the last 30 days, and flags what needs fixing: an account to reconnect, a failed payment, a trial about to end, or no messages for two weeks. Open switches you straight into the client.

Your agency team

  • Everyone on the agency workspace's team gets into every client automatically, at the role they hold at the agency. Agency owners come in as admins, so billing stays with the client's owner.
  • Agency teammates don't use any of the client's seats.
  • Someone who leaves the agency loses every client at once, along with any API keys they made there.
  • Their role inside a client follows their agency role and is changed on the agency's Team page. Sync team to all clients re-applies it if someone was removed from a client by hand.

Sharing automations

Share automations with clients copies the automations you pick from one workspace into as many clients as you like. They arrive as drafts, with the tags and fields they use, so you can review each one before it goes live. Contacts and conversations are never copied.

Client reports

Report on any client shows new contacts, messages, automation runs, link clicks and each automation's results for the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Print it, or save it as a PDF from the print dialog, to send to the client.

Billing and ending the relationship

Each client's plan is billed to whoever owns that workspace — you or the client. Removing a client from the hub, or the client's owner removing the agency under Settings → Agency, ends agency access straight away. The workspace and everything in it stay with the client.
