Someone who finished or was stopped can start again from step one. Anyone part-way through is left alone.
Never sends a message Instagram would refuse
Instagram only lets a business message someone within 24 hours of their last message. When a step comes due outside that window, MuChat holds it and checks again every hour — the moment they write back, the step goes out. So plan follow-ups for the day they’re talking to you, and end steps with a question: every reply keeps the window open.

In the Flow Builder, the action step has Start sequence and Stop sequence. Put Start after someone grabs your freebie; put Stop on the path where they buy. Draft sequences are marked in the picker, because a sequence has to be live to send.
Follow-ups get credit for the sales they bring in
Record purchases, bookings or sign-ups as conversion events. When a sequence was the last thing that touched someone in the 7 days before they converted, the sale is credited to it — and Insights lists conversions by sequence next to your automations.

Sequence questions
How does someone get onto a sequence?
A Flow Builder automation adds them with a Start sequence action. The sequence has to be live — starting a draft sequence does nothing until you set it live.
What happens if the 24-hour window has closed?
The step waits. MuChat checks again every hour and sends it as soon as the person messages you again, so a sequence never tries to send a message Instagram would refuse.
Can someone go through a sequence twice?
Yes. Once they’ve finished it or been stopped, starting it again begins from step one. If they’re part-way through, starting it again changes nothing.
How do I take someone off?
Add a Stop sequence action on the right path of a flow, or remove them from the sequence’s list of active people.
Can I send a sequence to everyone at once?
No — a flow starts a sequence for one person at a time. To send a single message to a segment or everyone, use a broadcast. Either way, Instagram’s 24-hour rule applies, so only people who’ve messaged you in the last day can be reached.
