Know which automations actually pay off
One page for everything your account sent, ran and got clicked — so you can see which posts bring customers in, and fix the automations that don’t.
Included on every plan
Four numbers that tell you if it’s working
Pick the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Every number is counted from what MuChat actually did in that window.
New contacts
Everyone who became a contact in the window — from comments, story replies, DMs or an import.
Messages sent
Every DM that went out, and how many different people they reached. Failed sends aren’t counted.
Automation runs
How many times an automation started for someone — and how many ran all the way to the end.
Link clicks
Taps on the links your automations sent, recorded before we redirect to your page.
Your best and weakest automations, called out
Insights puts your highest and lowest click-through automations side by side, so you know what to copy and what to rewrite. An automation needs at least 5 runs to be ranked — one lucky click shouldn’t top the list.
- Click-through rate = people who clicked ÷ times the automation ran
- A day-by-day chart of messages sent, runs and link clicks
- Failed sends flagged separately, with the usual cause — the 24-hour window closing
- Auto-DM links from comments38%

- Turn story replies into VIPs9%

Compare everything side by side
Below the charts, every automation gets a row with its runs, messages sent, clicks and click-through rate for the same window. Sort by any column to find your workhorses and your dead weight.
- Sort by runs, sends, clicks or click-through rate
- The Automations list shows each one’s runs and click-through rate too
- Flow Builder automations have their own Metrics, with a chart and totals
| Automation | Runs | Clicks | CTR ↓ |

| Auto-DM links from comments | 612 | 251 | 38% |
| Grow your email list | 204 | 61 | 27% |

Find the exact message where people drop off
In the Flow Builder, every step shows its own sends, clicks and click-through rate right on the canvas. If people stop at step three, you’ll see it — and you can rewrite that message without touching the rest.
- Private replySent 1,284Clicks —no tracked links
- Send the linkSent 1,102Clicks 418CTR 38%
- Ask to followSent 182Clicks 61CTR 34%
Count the sales, not just the clicks
Define the goals that matter — a purchase, a booked call, a sign-up — with an optional default value. Record them from a Flow Builder step, from a contact’s profile, or from your own store through the API, and Insights shows how many happened and what they were worth.
- Credited to the last automation run or sequence that touched the person in the 7 days before — one owner, never split
- Values in the event’s currency, totalled per currency and never mixed
- Broken down by event, by automation and by sequence for the range you pick
- Each Flow Builder automation’s Metrics separates conversions its own steps recorded from ones credited to it afterwards

We only show what we can actually measure
Instagram doesn’t tell businesses when a DM is delivered or read, so MuChat doesn’t invent those numbers. What you see is what we sent, what ran, and what got clicked.
Tracked links
Buttons are sent as short MuChat links. A tap is counted, then they’re sent straight on to your URL.
Failures in the open
Messages Instagram refused are counted separately and never inflate your sends.
No vanity maths
Click-through is people who clicked over runs — not clicks over sends — so repeat taps don’t flatter it.
Insights questions
Is Insights on the Free plan?
Yes. Insights, the Flow Builder’s metrics and per-step stats are on every plan.
Why don’t you show open or read rates?
Instagram doesn’t report deliveries or reads to businesses. Rather than guess, MuChat reports what it can measure: messages sent, automation runs and link clicks.
How is click-through rate worked out?
The number of people who clicked a link from the automation, divided by how many times it ran in the same window. Automations need at least 5 runs before they’re ranked as best or weakest.
Can a click-through rate go over 100%?
Rarely, yes. Runs are counted by when they started and clicks by when the link was created, so an automation with long delays can straddle the edge of the window. We show the number we measured rather than rounding it down.
Which time ranges can I see?
The last 7, 30 or 90 days.
How are conversions credited?
If you name the automation when you record a conversion, it gets the credit. Otherwise it goes to the last automation run or sequence that touched that contact in the 7 days before — one owner or none, never split. It shows what reached them last, not proof of what caused the sale.
