Start from a template
Open Automations → New Automation and pick a template, or Start from scratch. Templates open with the messages, buttons and keywords already filled in — change them to yours before going live.
What a quick automation is made of
- Trigger — a comment, story reply, DM keyword, or any DM that no other automation matches.
- Posts (comment automations) — a specific post or reel, all posts or reels, or the next post or reel you publish.
- Keywords — up to 20. Leave them empty to respond to every comment or story reply.
- Public replies (comments) — up to 5; one is picked at random for each comment.
- Opening message (comments) — a first DM with a button; tapping it opens the conversation.
- Ask to follow before sending the link — optional follow gate.
- Messages — up to 3, each with up to 3 link buttons. Every link is tracked.
- Tags — added to everyone the automation reaches.
Statuses
New automations start as Draft. Go Live switches them on; stopping them takes them off. How many can be live at once depends on your plan: 3 on Free, 10 on Essential and unlimited on Pro.
When several automations match
Only one automation answers a given comment or message — the first match wins. Keep keywords distinct across your live automations.
Folders and trash
Group automations into folders from the Automations page. Deleting an automation moves it to Trash, where you can restore it.
